Dimagi

Mobile Software for Frontline Health Workers

Dimagi
In 2010, DIV funded Dimagi to pilot a new, open-source mobile app for frontline health workers in India to track patients’ data. Today, frontline workers serve over 400 million people using the tool, CommCare, across more than 130 countries. Through 100+ peer reviewed studies, researchers have demonstrated CommCare’s positive impact on health outcomes.

Educational Initiatives

Scalable Models for Personalized Learning

Educational Initiatives
To enable individualized instruction in classrooms with limited resources, Indian edtech company Educational Initiatives developed Mindspark – a personal adaptive learning software that tailors instruction to individual student learning levels in math, English, and local languages. With early support from DIV, Ei began scaling Mindspark in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, while conducting A/B testing to identify best practices, and engaging closely with all levels of the government to accelerate adoption.

Digital Tools to Improve Case Management

Maisha Meds
In private pharmacies across Africa, patients and providers frequently choose the lowest-cost healthcare pathway, skipping diagnostic testing and purchasing cheap, low-quality treatments. To increase appropriately targeted care, Maisha Meds developed a digital inventory and sales management platform that immediately reimburses patients and providers to motivate proper testing and treatment.
